सिँचाइ मन्त्रालय र विभागका इन्जिनियरले भेरी नदीको पानी सीधै बाँके झार्ने गरी भेरी डाइभर्सनको नयाँ योजना प्रस्ताव गरेका छन् । भेरीको पानी बबई झार्न १२ किलोमिटर लामो सुरुङ निर्माण कार्यमा पूर्ण सफलता प्राप्त गरे लगतै सिँचाइ मन्त्रालयका अधिकारीले बर्दिया र बाँकेमा पर्ने चुरेका पहाडमा ६ किलोमिटर सुरुङ निर्माण गरि भेरी नदीलाई सिधै बाँकेमा झार्न प्रस्ताव गरेका हुन् ।
सिचाई मन्त्रालय र विभागका ईन्जिनीयरहरुले भेरी नदीको पानी बबई नदीमा झारेर बर्दिया स्थित बबई सिचाई आयोजना हुादै बाके ल्याउने पुरानो योजनामा परिमार्जन गर्दैै सिधै बाकेको चीसापानीमा झार्ने नयाा प्रस्ताव गरेका छन् । भेरी बबई डाइभर्सनको १२ किलोमिटर सुरुङ निर्माणमा प्रयोग भएको टनेल बोरिङ मेशिन द्धारा बाकेको चुरे पहाडमा ६ किलोमिटर अर्को सुरुङ खनेर भेरीको पानी सजिलै बाकेमा झार्न सकिने भन्दै नयाा योजना अघि सारेका हुन् ।
सिँचाई मन्त्रालयका अधिकारीले प्रधानमन्त्री केपी ओली सागको एउटा परामर्श तथा समिक्षा बैठकमा नयाा योजना कार्यान्वयन गर्न आग्रह पनि गरेका छन् । भेरी बबई डाइभर्सनमा कार्यरत चीनिया ठेकेदार कम्पनीले ३६ महिनामा १२ किलोमिटर सुरुङ निर्माण कार्यमा पूर्ण सफलता प्राप्त गरेलगतै बाके र बर्दियाको सिमानामा पर्ने चुरे पहाडमा सुरुङ निर्माण गर्दा २ बर्ष भित्र भेरीको पानी सोझै बाके झार्न सकिने र बर्दियाको नहर हुादै घुमाएर पानी ल्याउदा लक्षय अनुरुप बाकेका किसानलाई सिचाइ सुबिधा उपलब्ध गराउन नसक्ने भन्दै नयाा योजना अघि सारेका हुन् ।
भेरीको पानी सिधै बाके झार्दा बााके र बर्दियाको ५१ हजार हेक्टर खेतीयोग्य जमिनमा सिाचाइ सुविधा पुग्ने भएकाले भेरी नदिको पानी बबई नदीबाट सोझै बाके झार्न प्रस्ताव गरिएको हो ।
